  • V (Voltage): Voltage, unit Volt (V)
  • I (Current): Current, unit Ampere (A)
  • R (Resistance): Resistance, unit Ohm (Ω)
  • Physical Meaning

    Ohm's Law states: Under constant temperature, the current in a conductor is directly proportional to the voltage across it and inversely proportional to its resistance.

    Applicable Conditions

  • Constant temperature: Conductor temperature doesn't change with current
  • Linear resistance: Resistance doesn't change with voltage/current
  • Metallic conductors: Mainly applicable to metals
  • Electrolytes: Some electrolytes also apply
